Go outside/inside and play!

It's summer time and parents everywhere are directing their kids to turn off their consoles, drop the controllers, and head outside to get some fresh air, sunshine, sunburns, cuts/scrapes, and bug bites.
But what if you kid wants to stay indoors and play video games*?

There's a lot of pressure on parents to treat video games a unhealthy pastimes that rot the brain and the body. As a viral post went around social media recently said "Kids need less Xboxes and more tackle boxes!". Public Service Announcements blame too much screen time for a host of social ills and medical journals now say  and sitting too long is almost as bad a smoking.

So what's a parent to do?

Simple- Get the kids up an moving! Help them learn that while the fantastical worlds that games transport us to are nice, we have to live in this one which can also be filled with wonder and excitement. Exercise and movement are essential for healthy development.

BUT... (there's always a but)

Don't forget that an healthy imagination, problem solving, and abstract thinking can all be improved when kids spend time with quality games. A healthy body needs a healthy brain too, and good quality video games that challenge the mind (puzzles, mysteries, stories, adventure) can promote that.

*I hear there's a new on coming for the Wii U that's quite fun

The Story of my Oar's Bite

Hello All, Naaj the Red Witch here again! I know you have you been waiting a long time to hear the rest of the tale of the "bitten oar." As I was touring with the fairies on my new found enchanted oar. We decided to take a detour through the wonderful and intriguing Magenta forest!  Why you ask?!

Have you ever flown with fairies before? Well their wings can do the most amazing things to the clouds! As we made our way the clouds were disrupted and a peculiar thing happened. I felt the most forceful chomp on what could have been more than just my oar. WHAT! A sky shark must have been hunting in the area and saw the commotion of the clouds similar to ripples on the water and charged at the biggest thing he could find, ME!

I gotta go, Anell is calling for me, that spoiled brat. Next time I'll tell you what happened to that shark!

Hand Sculpted Indigo!

I recently commissioned an Indigo sculpture from Ben Howard, the genius behind Fizz Man Industries. It will be a birthday present for Andy (the voice of Indigo) and also a test to see if there would be any interest among fans to purchase statues of our characters. I have received a few progress photo's and I am very impressed! To the right is the head which is amazing! Andy and I have already decided that we will be ordering more characters from Fizz Man Industries, for sale or for our own personal collections. I'll be sure to post about this again when I have images of him painted!

Tell me what you think of this idea. Would you be interested in having your very own Hatman Comics character in eye popping 3D for your display? Or what about a Midieville or Star Fetched character?
